Facilities are Reopening
Following the latest Government information, we're delighted to confirm that we'll be reopening our health and golf clubs on Wednesday 2nd December. We'll be in Tier 2 when we reopen, with all facilities open in line with government guidelines: gym, group exercise, wet spa, changing rooms, golf course, golf lessons, driving range, retail shop and restaurants.

We cannot wait to welcome you back to the club. To get ready for your return to the club, members still have access to our at home offering featuring live online classes and on-demand videos, via the member login.

Your return to the golf course will see some new local rules and guidance to ensure the safety of other golfers and members of the team. When the course may re-open there will be some restrictions in place to enable new social distances measures.

Booking Your Tee Time

All tee times must be pre-booked online with no turn-up and play option. All tee bookings must be made via your Intelligent Golf log in. If you need to create a pin then you can  create a pin number by visiting Intelligent Golf. To create a pin you will need to have your membership number. 

Members will be able to book 4 days in advance while visitors to the golf club can book 2 days in advance. There will be a limit of one round per day for each golfer. Initially, there will be no competition golf available but this will be reviewed on a weekly basis.

Tee times can be booked:

Monday to Friday - 06:30am to dusk

Saturday and Sunday (including Bank Holidays) - 06:00am to dusk.

Over 70s golfers looking to book for Tuesday and Thursday between 09:00am-10:00am will be limited to 2 balls only. Bookings for these tee times must be made via the phone only.

Arrival at the Club

We advise that you check-in 15 minutes before your tee time. There will be limited access to the clubhouse during the initial periods of re-opening. You can still access the golf reception to check in for your round and visit the retail area. This is limited to only one person in the reception or retail area at any time. Any purchases made at the golf reception or retail area must be card payments only.

Toilets are still accessible however there will be no changing facilities available.

There will also be a limited food and beverage offering of pre-packed food, bottled drinks and a tea and coffee station.

Once you have checked in please arrive at the 1st tee no earlier than 5 minutes before your start time. The chipping and putting green will be open, the cups on the putting green will be placed just above ground level and flags removed.

Please adhere to the social distancing signs and markers that have been installed. 

Using the Golf Course

The golf course may appear different the first time you play as some restrictions have been put in place for your safety.

The divot boxes and ball washers have been removed or covered up and benches have been put out of action. The only toilets that are in use are in the clubhouse.

If you end up in a bunker you may notice that the rakes have been removed. We ask that once you have played your shot you rake over the area with your golf club.

New cups have been installed to stop any cross-contamination when you are retrieving your golf ball. The golf ball will still be able to drop into the hole but only by half a golf ball from the top.

Flags must remain in the hole during play and not removed.

After you have completed your round there will be no access to the shoe cleaner.

Q. Can I just turn up at the club to see if a tee time is available?
A. Unfortunately not - all booking are via Intelligent Golf online to control the number of golfers in and around the golf club. (With the exception of over 70s tee times on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-10am.)

Q. Can I just turn up for my normal ladies / seniors / swindle game of golf?
A. Block booking are not possible as we can’t encourage groups of golfers to meet up. You may book a tee time online at the same time you normally play if there is some remaining availability.

Q. Why have the booking rights changed?
A. This is to enable us to change the booking restrictions further, within only a few days’ notice, should guidelines change.

Q. I am over 70 and I am concerned about the number of golfers that may be in one tee time. Is there a time I can play with fewer golfers?
A. For the over 70s we are offering tee times on Tuesdays & Thursdays between 9am & 10am, in 2 balls, with 10-minute intervals. Please note these times must be booked over the phone.

Q. Will I be able to book my normal 4 ball game of golf?
A. We are waiting on the final details of how many players will be able to play in a tee time and how many minutes between each time.

Q. Will I be able to use the practice facilities?
A. Yes, they will be open - but the putting /chipping green will only be available 15 minutes before your tee time.

Q. Will I be able to take part in competitions?
A. To start with it will only be social golf available – but with the short booking window this will allow us to review this over the first few weeks.

Q. Will I be able to play every day?
A. We are putting some small restrictions on bookings to allow all our members the chance to get back on to the golf course, including one round per member per day.

Q. Will I be able to hire a buggy or trolley?
A. Unfortunately, these will not be available from the start - but we will review this regularly.

Q. Will the retail shop be open?
A. Yes this will be available – with one in one out policy.

Q. Are you able to take cash?
A. No, the only option will be card and we ask that you use contactless where possible.

Q. Will I be able to get food and drink?
A. We will be offering a small food and beverage offering to keep you on the go – it will be takeaway only

Q. It’s been a while since I’ve played, I would like a lesson. Will this be available?
A. Yes, we are working with our onsite PGA professionals to be able to deliver lessons as soon as possible.
